Anuj K. Dalal, MD, SFHM
Dr. Dalal is a leading patient safety researcher focused on designing and developing health information technology. He serves as an Associate Director of Informatics and Innovation for the Harvard-Brigham Research Fellowship in Hospital Medicine, an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Jorge A. Rodriguez, MD
Dr. Rodriguez is an expert in digital health equity with a focus on ensuring Latino community members can meaningfully engage with and benefit from digital health tools. In addition to his research portfolio and work as a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Robert S. Rudin, PhD
Dr. Rudin is a senior information scientist at RAND who designs, develops, implements, and evaluates clinically integrated digital health interventions. He is also a professor of policy analysis at the Pardee RAND Graduate School.

Dr. Li Zhou, MD, PhD, FACMI, FIAHSI, FAMIA
Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on temporal reasoning, natural language processing, machine learning, knowledge representation, and clinical decision support. She holds many high-profile roles, including serving as an Associate Editor for both the International Journal of Medical Informatics and the Journal of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Zhou is also a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Stuart R. Lipsitz, ScD
Dr. Lipsitz is a biostatistician at Ariadne Labs who specializes in advanced statistical methods and developing new statistical techniques. He is also a Professor Biostatistics at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Biostatistical Services at the Center for Surgery and Public Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Savanna Plombon, MPH
Savanna Plombon is the Research Project Coordinator, overseeing and coordinating all ongoing projects for the Patient Safety Learning Lab. Savanna also brings expertise in data management and analysis, ensuring the success and efficiency of each initiative.

Marie Leeson
Marie Leeson is the team’s clinical engineer and is interested in using data analysis, interoperability, and systems engineering techniques to help keep patients safe and improve their quality of care. She joined the lab in 2021 because she was eager to be a part of a group passionate about using innovation and technology to help keep patients safe and improve their quality of care.

Madeline Smith
Prior to joining the Patient Safety Learning Lab in 2023, Madeline Smith received her MPH with dual certificates in environmental health as well as community assessment, program design, implementation and evaluation (CAPDIE). She joined the lab driven by a strong motivation to improve patient outcomes.

John Lundstedt
John Lundstedt is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University with prior experience in surgical quality improvement and patient safety at Cincinnati Children’s. In addition to pursuing his research interests with PSLL, John is interested in attending medical school.

Kate Konieczny has been a research assistant in the lab since 2021. She is especially interested in conducting user research and applying human factors principles to designing and developing impactful digital health technology.
